In the first chapter of Acts, the apostles were told, that once they received the Holy Spirit they were to become a witnesses “in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). The modern version of this is the saying, “Think globally, and act locally.”

As members of the United Methodist Church we have a multitude of opportunities to share our gifts, talents, and resources. The church will offer opportunities through service projects and special offerings. You are also encouraged to find ministries that match your unique passions and gifts and focus your efforts and dedication. In Matthew 25, Jesus tells us to feed the hungry, offer drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe those in need, and visit the sick and imprisoned. Based on the limits and limitations of our small congregation’s resources and abilities, we hope we can be of service by helping you find ministries that specialize in serving to both pastoral and material needs that we hear frequently that you might need.
